Professional Experience

Kevin Pierce is an Associate with the firm. Prior to joining the firm, he was a legal clerk for Miklos Law, PLLC, a municipal law and economic land development firm in Dallas, Texas. In that capacity, Mr. Pierce provided research guides on municipal land development, drafted documents for the formation of public improvement districts and tax increment reinvestment zones, and provided legal research for municipal citation defense cases before Dallas municipal courts. While in law school, he also served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Judge Martin Hoffman in the 68th civil district court in Dallas, Texas.

Details of Practice

Mr. Pierce’s practice includes representing developers and owners in connection with the acquisition, disposition, and development of improved and unimproved real property. In connection with this real estate work, he focuses his practice on issues relating to annexation/disannexation, land entitlements and zoning, and the creation of special taxing districts, including public improvement districts (PIDs) and tax increment reinvestment zones (TIRZs).
